TO CHAFFEIGH & SHEDRICK MILLS RUINS

4 miles there and back
1.
follow
Blind Lane (opposite Gribb View) down to stile
2.
Follow
footpath along hedge line through two fields
3.
Strike
out across middle of third field down to Synderford River
4.
Cross
footbridge where you will find ruins of Chaffeigh Mill
5.
Retrace your footsteps back across footbridge.
6.
Turn
right following course of River Synderford now on your right
7.
Cross
footbridge across brook. Veer right
8.
Cross
footbridge across River Synderford, now on your left.
9.
Follow
track to ruins of Shedrick Mill, in
field abutting Wheelhouse Lane.
10.
Retrace your footsteps to Thorncombe
