The Trust organises a talk every other month in the Village Hall in Thorncombe. These talks are on a range of subjects from birds, local history and geology, to bee-keeping and bats. They are usually illustrated by slides and give rise to lively discussions and question and answer sessions.

Members enjoy coming, meeting up with each other and it's a good opportunity for us to pass on information.

Our annual walk is a wonderful opportunity to get to know people in the village and wider area, as well as getting acquainted with interesting walks. See below for the next walk.

We recently organised a meeting with our MP, Oliver Letwin, to discuss and clarify issues raised by the new planning legislation and Localism Bill.

At the invitation of the committee Cllr.R.Arnold (Chairman of the Thorncombe Parish Council), Cllr.N.Higgins (leader of the PC Planning Group) and Mr Mark Agnew who advises the committee on planning matters, were also present. Minutes of this meeting can be read here.
